Eleonora Esposito

Today we hear from Eleonora Esposito, who is here to tell us about her first bridal collection!

I would like to introduce you my first capsule bridal collection, in the past I created bridal gowns for friends and customers, but mainly I worked on my collections of cocktail and bridesmaids dresses,so this the first time I officially launch a bridal capsule collection.

The collection has been designed for a sophisticated bride. Wedding dresses with a retro and a bon ton style, romantic mood, but at the same time a modern silhouette, simple and delicate shapes, made of details such as lace edges positioned to highlight the figure in an elegant way and to the high quality of the fabrics as the silk cady and the silk chiffon, that give to each garment a lightness of movement and style.

60s mood collars, natural waist dresses and flared skirt with essential shapes made even more unique thanks to the accessories created in collaboration with other designers as : Asteroidea, Maria Leone, Doriana Napoli and Saltie Creations, combining the retro couture style with  innovative materials that will complete each outfit, creating an alternative and exclusive effect.

Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Eleonora Esposito, I’m a fashion designer and vintage buyer, I live in Italy in the sunny city of Naples! I adore everything have a vintage mood , this passion is very visible in my work.  My creations are made to measure, “handmade couture”, as I love to describe them, a retro and bon ton style, a timeless elegance , with a new concept of fitting. Perfect for a romantic woman, but at the same time she is also a dynamic woman who lives in the present, she wants to have a sophisticated bon ton style, without being too old fashioned. Wedding dresses, cocktail & bridesmaids dresses, made to measure, handled accurately by paying careful attention to the details, both in cuts and shapes, and to the high quality of the fabrics.

What’s your favourite part of a wedding?

Working with both brides and bridesmaids, it’s beautiful to listen them talk about all the wedding preparations, the ceremony, the happiness, the love in the air, it’s amazing! As fashion designer it’s very emotional to see the brides and the bridesmaids , wearing the complete dress, to see the joy in their eyes, the thrill of wearing the dress that will be part of their special day. To be involved  in  a wonderful  journey to celebrate love.

What’s the best bit of advice you can give to couples in the planning process?

They have to follow their opinions, it’s their wedding day, something that will be an unforgettable moment of their life together as couple. It’s ok to listen extra opinions but the final decision it’s their, let it be a day that reflects you as couple, your style, what you like.

What keeps you passionate?

I love to create and to make women happy wearing my creations. To talk with them , to learn from them and to find always the right solution to make them feel perfect , because every woman has the need to feel at ease and beautiful at the same time. I love my job, it’s a good way to escape the stress of daily life, through the creativity

Do you like to keep up with trends? What’s your biggest trend to watch currently?

I love to read blogs and magazine to keep me informed about the latest trends, because it’s important to know what is going on, especially about the color palette, but at the same time I want to create something that it’s unique.

What’s next for your business?

I want to see my handmade couture clothing grow, to work with many brides and bridesmaids as possible, different women all unique and special. I have already reserved orders in the works, wedding dresses and cocktail dresses, so I will be busy in the next months but I can’t wait to make each dress. So I hope for the future to continue to do my work with the same love and passion and obviously grow professionally.

Vata Beauty

Today we hear from the super talented, France based make up artist, Claire Jones! She shares her trend tips, favorite wedding moments and how she keeps up with trends! It’s a must read for all bride-to-be’s!

Who are you and what do you do?

I am Claire Jones, a professional bridal make up artist based in France.  I am British but working in France at many of the best wedding venues found here, although my work does take me across Europe too.  I am also a UK qualified Beauty and Skin Therapist which allows me to offer a bespoke skincare regimen to all my brides to follow in the run up to their big day. Great skin means that make up glides on to the skin and in turn makes for flawless wedding photographs.

What’s your favourite part of a wedding?

It is so hard to pinpoint my favourite part of a wedding as the whole process from the initial contact with a bride through to watching her sail down the aisle is magical.  There is something very special about assisting an excited bride prepare for what is arguably the biggest and most important day of her life.  Sharing the excitement in the build up to the wedding and sharing ideas and discussing themes and the bridal look are all very rewarding however, the morning of the wedding holds a big place in my heart.  The smiles and laughter and the nerves and joy are all inspiring and make my job the best in the world.

What’s the best bit of advice you can give to couples in the planning process?

Research your suppliers, especially hairstylists and make up artists, thoroughly. Not all are equal and it’s important to ask questions before booking.  What products are used, will those products stand up to the rigours of a hot French summer’s day and into the evening, what experience do they have, are they insured, are they refreshing their skills regularly and keeping up to date with latest trends and products, what time is given in the run up to the wedding to go through ideas and what additional services do they offer within the fee.  Always visit the web site of your vendor and check out their social media sites to read reviews, testimonials and to ascertain whether their work is of a standard that you require.  One of the biggest pieces of advice I can give is that once you have found the right supplier for you, book them straightaway by sending a deposit to secure the date.  Experienced and talented suppliers will be booked early so don’t lose out on your favourite by delaying, some of us take bookings up to two years in advance.

What keeps you passionate?

Beauty and make up are my life,  I eat, breath and live everything bridal.  It is a fast paced industry, where new products and techniques are constantly being launched, so my job is never boring.  My driving force though are my clients.  To spend time with a nervous bride and watch her blossom into a confident and glowing bride on her wedding day and then watching her smile as she departs for her ceremony gives me ultimate job satisfaction. All of this fires my passion for my work.

Do you like to keep up with trends? What’s your biggest trend to watch currently?

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am the ultimate Beauty Geek!  I am never far from the computer or magazines as I am constantly researching the latest trends, new techniques and skincare.  I am drawn like a moth to the flame whenever I hear of or see something new and just have to know all about it.  It really is super important in my profession to keep up to date with latest trends.  At the moment I am totally head over heels with the hype around the colour rose gold.  The Pantone colours for this season are all about going back to nature, embracing foliage and greenery with, they say, accents of silver.  However, having spoken to brides-to-be and florists there is a real leaning towards coppers and rose gold as accent colours and I for one am delighted.  I love the way it works with the soft greenery of the foliage and it is also such a gentle and romantic colour that works for most people.  You heard it here first, rose gold!

Check out LTW’s trend alert on rose gold cutlery here!

What’s next for your business?

Aside from preparing for yet another very busy French Bridal Season I am looking forward to sharing a photo shoot that I recently worked on with a very talented group of bridal suppliers.  Shot in a luxury Eco sustainable beachside Villa Hotel the shoot, an Eco Couture Fashion one, should be released very soon.  The designers were very generous in offering us some wonderful couture wedding dresses, outfits and jewellery.  I have seen the camera roll of pictures and I have to say that I am particularly proud of this fabulous shoot.  With more photo shoots scheduled for later in the year, along with assisting this season’s brides-to-be I can honestly tell you that I am a very happy Make Up Artist.

How do we book/use your services?

I can be contacted through the contact form on my website www.clairejonesmakeupartist.com or through any of my social media accounts.  I am also a Premium Partner of www.bridesinfrance.com and can be contacted through the link within their Big White Book.

Any part that tells the story; The best part or time is when I am not seen or heard .. Both from the Bride and Groom plus guests they seem to relax and not no I am there but so close to the action.

What’s the best bit of advice you can give to couples in the planning process?

Time goes so fast; Your guests are important so allow time for everything. I will help with shoots during the day plus allow for a plan B. I must add it is important for the bride and groom to buy into the style of the photographer. We all sing from the same hymn sheet. Then it works. Expectations are met. This all needs planning and preparation.

Emmy’s Brigadeiro

table decoration was designed by @LoveLydiaUK and photographed by @MarkSeymourphotography

Who are you and what do you do?

I am Emoke Rocha and I am the owner of Emmy’s brigadeiro. At the same time that I fell in love with my Brazilian husband, I also fell in love with the Brigadeiro. Since then it is my mission to introduce this sweet little delicacy to everyone I meet.

So what exactly brigadeiro is?

Brigadeiro is a delicious, luscious, handcrafted Brazilian dessert. This elegant, handmade treat most certainly pleases children and adults. The ingredients of it are exquisite and irresistible. It is made with Belgian chocolate or quality nuts, it has got a multitude of flavours and combinations. There is no doubt that brigadeiro will be the star of any wedding.

I offer Emmy’s brigadeiros with different forms of presentation, varying in color and also in formats. The guests are amazed from the beauty and the taste what these special little delicacies offer.

I also offer Emmy ’ s brigadeiro as an option for wedding favor. The packaging can be custom made depending on the chosen color and theme! One thing is certain: this luxury treat will be an unforgettable element of any party!

What’s your favourite part of a wedding?

My favourite part of the wedding is the celebration dinner. I love seeing how long not seen relatives and friends get the opportunity to gather together and renew old friendships or make new ones.

What’s the best bit of advice you can give to couples in the planning process?

Get as much help as you can from your family and friends with planning, don’t stress too much. Don’t forget on the big day you will be surrounded by those who love you the most, appreciate their presence and have fun with them. We all know that the most beautiful things in life are not things. They are people and memories, feelings and moments, smiles and laughter. Make this day the best memory of your life and focus on people and not things.

What keeps you passionate?

My love for brigadeiro. I truly believe this little treat shouldn’t miss from any unique wedding. It looks amazing and it tastes amazing. It is something new, luscious and made with fine Belgian chocolate. Who doesn’t love chocolate? After all, with brigadeiro you can’t go wrong.

Do you like to keep up with trends? What’s your biggest trend to watch currently?

I don’t really follow trends. Every person and couple is unique, they come from different backgrounds, they follow different styles and trends. They should be who they are on their special day, I believe no one should follow a specific trend unless they really like it. Brigadeiros can be presented in so many ways that I can adapt to any preferred trend.

What’s next for your business?

Brigadeiro is quite new in the UK, I would like to introduce it to as many people as possible. Everyone should get the chance to try it at least once. I make brigadeiros for different special occasions but I want to get more involved with couples and weddings in the future.

Who are you and what do you do?

I’m Zoë and the owner of a vintage 1970’s CI Cadet Sprite caravan called Miss Molly. ‘Miss Molly The Vintage Caravan’ is a versatile lady and can be used as a sweet cart, fizz bar, for photography and afternoon teas for any personal event!

What’s your favourite part of a wedding?

For me it is after the ceremony and seeing the bride and groom straight after. The atmosphere is always so happy and seeing the bride bloom with happiness is such a lovely sight.

What’s the best bit of advice you can give to couples in the planning process?

Don’t overwhelm yourself. Prioritise and take it step by step. Some brides can get so stressed and forget that it is suppose to be an enjoyable experience! If in doubt, always seek advice.

What keeps you passionate?

Seeing a plan come together and the feeling it gives when you see the end result. Each booking I get is always a little different and personal, which I like. I love meeting new people and seeing their face when they see Miss Molly for the first time, it makes me so happy and reminds me why I do this kind of work.

Do you like to keep up with trends? What’s your biggest trend to watch currently?

To be honest Miss Molly suits a certain taste and suits those events/weddings which are a little different and quirky. People who book Miss Molly enjoy vintage style mixed with glamour and old work charm.  Due to this, I don’t feel I need to worry too much about trends. However, I do like keep an eye out on local wedding trends and speak to my wedding business friends with regards to what style of weddings are in such as festival themed and tepees.  With regards to Miss Molly I simply raid charity shops and car boots to find vintage gems, this is a cheap perk to owning a vintage caravan!

What’s next for your business?

I’d like to expand what services I offer and I want to get Miss Molly resprayed – I thinking, pastel colours, polka dots and floral.

Deluxe Blooms

Who are you and what do you do?

Deluxe Blooms is wedding florist based in Ilkley, and we specialise in luxury faux flowers and arrangements. We’ve searched long and hard for the very best silk flowers around, so even though they aren’t real, they still have the ‘wow’ factor! And, what’s more, we’re a less expensive option than real flowers for your wedding day, because you hire rather than buy from us. We can provide buttonholes, bouquets, table arrangements, alter/ church displays and floral crowns- to name just a few. Plus, I always gift the bride her bouquet to have as a wonderful keep sake. Faux flowers make a fabulous alternative to fresh if you have a smaller budget, if you suffer from allergies or you have a large space to fill!

What’s your favourite part of a wedding?

The wedding ceremony is my favourite part of a wedding. There’s often so much to think about, the flowers, the guests, the menu, song choice etc. But the whole point of getting married is standing up in front of the people you care about and making a commitment to each other. Saying ‘I do’ is a very special moment and it always brings a tear to my eye.

What’s the best bit of advice you can give to couples in the planning process?

When it comes to flowers… Pinterest! And wedding magazines of course. Mainly because it’s so much fun, and organising your wedding can be stressful, so make it enjoyable where you can. Having a general idea of your wedding theme and colours is a huge help when meeting your suppliers, especially your florist. Have a Pinterest board prepared to show ideas, or ask them to create one for you. I’m more than happy to put together a mood board to help couples. It’s a great way to get your partner involved too.

What keeps you passionate?

It has to be working with couples! Getting to meet the bride/groom. Whether it’s just her, or she brings her partner, or with her mother and sisters, it’s always a pleasure. I’m passionate about what I do and I love meeting new people and seeing how excited they are about their wedding day. But the very, very best part is hearing how they met and how their love story began. I’m a sucker for romance!

Do you like to keep up with trends? What’s your biggest trend to watch currently?

It’s all about foliage! All types of greenery are being celebrated now. Eucalyptus is hugely popular, as are the other soft, grey toned greenery such as lambs ear and millers leaf. These also come in fabulous faux varieties! I’d even argue that they can look even better. Dahlias have also been this year’s new comer on the wedding scene. They’re a fabulous flower, real or faux, because they come in all sorts of different colours, they’re a good size which means you need less of them, and they’re very pretty with delicate petal details.

What’s next for your business?

We’re expanding our rental range for weddings. We already supply a large variety of flowers and different arrangements, and we even do faux floral crowns which are very popular, but I’m adventurous and want to offer more. Things like floral garlands that you can hire straight from the website to decorate your venue. Eventually we want to supply props and styling hire services, from candles, to wedding signs and more!

How do we book?

All our contact information can be found on the website. But please give me a call on 07713579406 and we can book you in for a free wedding consultation.
